Permanent, part time Occupational Therapist needed to work with a dynamic multi-disciplinary school-based team!

The Sturgeon School Division is currently seeking a part-time permanent Occupational Therapist (30 hours per week, .75 FTE) needed immediately. Competition open until October 17, 2014. There is the possibility that hours could increase in hours through the upcoming year.

The position is to work primarily with the Early Childhood Education program, providing Occupational Therapy  services in school and home settings to children with disabilities who are between 2 ½ and 6 years of age, with some consultation to grade school age students.
The successful candidate will provide assessment, consultation, in-service screening, program planning and therapeutic interventions for students with special needs: mainly working with PUF and FSCD funded pre-school children.

Qualifications & Experience:

•       Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor or Master’s).
•       Registered member of ACOT (Alberta College of Occupational Therapists)
•       Pediatric experience in a school environment is an asset.
•       Valid Driver’s License required as travel within the School Division is required.
•       Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a “team environment”.

The Sturgeon School Division’s Central Office is in Morinville at 9820- 104 street. Morinville is approximately 15-20 minutes drive north of Edmonton. This school division covers a small geographical region immediately north of the Edmonton/    St. Albert /Sherwood park area.
It is a lovely, short, country commute!
