Prioritization Tool?

Wondering if anyone has a prioritization tool that they may be using to help plan intervention options for students in early education (i.e., PUF).  Looking for something to help with efficient planning that fits with Response to Intervention format : direct/consult/coaching (intensive),  larger group support(targeted), and/or whole class type intervention (universal).  Please email me if you have something you'd be happy to share :).  Sherri Miller - MillerS@wrps.ab.ca

OT School Board Grids

I am an Occupational Therapist working in Fort McMurray with the school board and was wondering if anyone had access to the grid that Calgary Board of Education uses. They are trying to put us on a grid here in Fort McMurray but it seems to be lower than what they use both in Edmonton and Calgary. If anyone had any info to share it would be greatly appreciated.

Feeding/Swallowing Questions

I work in Saskatoon and follow a child who complains of food sticking in his throat.  He has experienced choking episodes, but they occur perhaps 1-4 times per year.  The physician has ordered a VFSS and I plan on attending the test.  I have requested an article from the June edition of Dysphagia that discusses using an unmasticated mini marshmallow to assess food sticking in the throat with adults.  Has anyone tried this strategy in the radiology suite – either with peds or adults?  I would love to speak to someone with more knowledge in this area.  Child is 6 years old and entering grade two.  Normal cognition.

Please feel free to call me at 306-655-1274 or email Amanda.madsen@saskatoonhealthregion.ca

Thanks in advance,
